Cable Technician – Charleston, SC Full-Time | Commercial Projects | On-Site We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cable Technician to support structured cabling installations in commercial buildings throughout the Charleston area. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in low-voltage systems and a strong understanding of Cat5/Cat6 cable routing and termination.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and route Cat5/Cat6 cables using J-hooks, cable trays, and conduits in commercial environments. Terminate and test network cabling to ensure performance and compliance. Mount and secure network hardware and related infrastructure. Read and interpret blueprints and floor plans to execute cable layouts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to job site protocols.
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installations. Familiarity with commercial construction environments. Ability to use hand tools, cable testers, and follow technical diagrams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Pay Range:
$18-$26/hour depending on experience
