Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cable Technician to support our diverse and dynamic work environments. This long-term contract position offers the potential to convert to a full-time role as opportunities arise.
Position Details:
Role:
Cable Technician Contract:
Long-term with potential for full-time conversion
Travel:
Drive your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed at $0.70/mile) between assigned locations; potential for a company van based on availability.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Summer schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour days with Fridays off.
Responsibilities:
Project Work:
Maintain and enhance current technology across multiple schools.
Skill Development:
Training on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of cameras and access control systems.
Networking:
Light networking tasks and cabling projects.
Qualifications:
Experience:
cabling knowledge/experience required; eager to learn and take direction.
Team Player:
Ability to work well with others and independently without supervision.
Technical Skills:
Pull, patch, terminate, and test
CAT5/CAT6
cables. Navigate network closets using faceplate designation/drawing. Troubleshoot networking cables. Basic computer skills (command prompt knowledge).
Bonus:
