Lead Travel Technician – Low Voltage & Security Systems ???? Based in Nashville, TN | ✈️ 100% Travel Role | ???? Contract-to-Hire | ???? Lots of Overtime Available TEKsystems is actively seeking an experienced Lead Travel Technician to join our team for nationwide commercial projects. This is a high-impact role for a self-motivated technician who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to lead small teams on-site. What You’ll Do As a Lead Technician, you will: Lead 1-3 technicians on commercial job sites across the country. Install, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling, security cameras, and related infrastructure. Work with structured telecom cabling, fire alarm systems, and other low-voltage systems. Interpret blueprints and build cable pathways that avoid obstructions and electrical hazards. Mount and test access points, cameras, access panels, and fire alarm hardware. Build and install server racks and ensure all systems are tested and operational. What You Bring Expert-level experience in low-voltage installations. Strong knowledge of Cat5, Cat6, coax, and fiber cabling. Familiarity with NEC codes for low voltage. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Self-starter with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Must provide your own hand tools, cordless drills, and punch tools. We Provide All consumables and job-specific training.
