  • Low Voltage Technician
  • , you’ll play a key role in supporting commercial telecommunication and cabling projects across Memphis. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables—laying the literal foundation of tomorrow’s tech. This
  • full-time position runs Monday to Friday from 7AM to 5PM
  • , offering
  • competitive pay at $21-$23 per hour

  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Installing, terminating, and testing Cat 5 and Cat 6 low voltage and fiber optic cables + Installing outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping, and pre-termination tasks like organizing, dressing, and labeling cables + Assembling and terminating 8-pin modular and coaxial connectors + Installing telecom closet hardware: racks, patch panels, backboards, fiber enclosures + Removing outdated or abandoned cables + Working as part of a collaborative team on commercial projects + Following industry best practices and submitting documentation accurately + Adhering to all safety and site-specific protocols •What You Bring•
Required:
  • + Experience with Cat 5/Cat 6 cabling in commercial settings + Knowledge of telecom/fiber optic infrastructure and connector termination + Familiarity with safety standards and low-voltage installation procedures + Ability to work independently and in a team setting + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Preferred:
  • + Prior experience with closet layout design and installation + Certification(s) in low voltage or fiber optic systems + Familiarity with industry labeling and testing standards
