Main Responsibilities:
Diagnose issues in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, brake checks, tire rotations, etc. Repair or replace parts like turbos, injectors, clutches, transmissions, axles, or exhaust systems. Use diagnostic tools (like computer scan tools) to troubleshoot engine codes or system errors. Inspect trailers for DOT compliance and safety (lights, brakes, air systems, etc.). Document work done in maintenance records or shop management software. Collaborate with drivers to understand vehicle issues based on their reports.
