Diesel Technician 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Rogersville, AL 35652 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on class 8 trucks and heavy duty diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various diesel engines and related systems, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar, Detroit and Cummins models. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Repair and replace components such as brakes, powertrain components, and suspension systems. Utilize tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Collaborate with team members to complete repairs in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Assist in the training of junior technicians as needed. Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop or field environments. Qualifications Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Familiarity dump trucks, end dump and hopper bottom trailers. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus. Proficient basic electrical repairs related to diesel engines. Must possess a valid driver’s license, (CDL prefered but not required) . Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
