Diesel Mechanic Position Available In Benton, Arkansas

We are seeking a detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic for a full-time, temp-to-perm position in Colcord, OK (West Siloam Springs). The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results and determining necessary repairs or replacements.
• Repairing or replacing diesel engine, steering, transmission, braking, and lighting system components.
• Inspecting and maintaining vehicle lighting systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all serviced vehicles.
• Following an inspection procedure checklist to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
• Managing and maintaining a parts inventory to support repair activities.
• Keeping the shop area clean and organized for optimal workflow.

Requirements:

• Diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong aptitude for mathematics and science, particularly related to diesel engine systems.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for vehicle troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Familiarity with maintenance and repair tools used in diesel vehicle servicing.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
