Mobile Diesel Fleet Technician 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Jacksonville, FL 32216 • Hybrid work Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various diesel and gas powered vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The Mobile Diesel Fleet Technician will work in hybrid shop/on-site locations to deliver high-quality service. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and gas engines including light, medium, heavy duty, tractor-trailers and related systems. Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards Conduct diagnostics and repairs on brake systems, hydraulics, engine emissions equipment, and other mechanical components. Assist in training junior technicians when necessary. Skills Proficient in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines. Knowledge of HVAC systems related to diesel vehicles is a plus. Proficiency in Regeneration and Aftertreatment Systems Experience with heavy equipment operation and repair. Familiarity with dealership standards for service quality. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
