Employbridge is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanic / Service Technician to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. This position requires strong experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on marine transmissions and field service work. Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.

1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | On-call every other week

Key Responsibilities:

Perform failure analysis, diagnostics, and repair of equipment, including marine transmissions and diesel engines Troubleshoot and install electrical controls, water jets, and electronic systems Deliver, install, service, and repair equipment both on-site and in the field Develop and maintain accurate parts lists and order required components Assist in equipment build-up, assembly/disassembly, and shop maintenance Conduct welding and mechanical fabrication as needed Support inside sales efforts and customer service when required Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping policies Travel to customer sites across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina What Makes You a

Great Fit:

5-10 years of experience in mechanical repair, ideally in marine, diesel, or industrial equipment Proven ability to rebuild and reinstall transmissions (especially marine/twin disk experience) Solid communication skills (verbal, written, and phone) Excellent job tenure and reliability Mechanically inclined and eager to take initiative Able to stay off the phone and stay focused while on the job Must have a clean and valid driver’s license Comfortable with on-call work every other week

Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude Welding and fabrication experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documentation Knowledge of instrumentation, testing tools, and repair processes Interpersonal skills with decision-making and customer negotiation experience Flexibility and adaptability for internal/external service needs

Education & Certifications:
