Primary Function:
Repair and maintain the engines, hydraulics, drive trains,electrical, fuel systems, suspension, and all other ancillary itemson company motorized vehicles, equipment, and tools Duties include but are not limited to: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on companyvehicles, equipment, and tools. Troubleshoot and repair company vehicles, equipment, andtools. Perform minor and major repairs on all company vehicles,equipment, and tools. Diagnose vehicles and equipment that are malfunctioning andidentify the necessary parts required for repair. Coordinate withthe shop staff for ordering parts. Fabricate and welding is a bonus. Complete daily maintenance and repair logs and all servicerecords. Keep mechanics work trucks stocked with commonly used items andkeep trucks clean, neat, and orderly. Ascertain all pertinent information about a malfunctioningpiece of equipment and procure the necessary parts prior to beingdispatched to repair. Communicate with equipment operators and gather any informationthat will assist in the repair and servicing or the vehicle orequipment. Maintain and secure work tools. Clean and maintain work area and clean equipment after repairremoving grease, fluid spills, and smudges. Tun off and lock out equipment when not in use and installtags. work in accordance with the Company Safety Program and bring tothe attention of the foreman any safety violations orconcerns.
