The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, particularly with diesel engines, and experience working with heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and related systems. Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of diesel-powered vehicles, including tractor-trailers. Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to conduct repairs efficiently. Assemble and disassemble engine components as needed for repairs. Solder electrical connections and ensure proper wiring in diesel systems. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become significant problems. Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and quality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proficiency in automotive repair, specifically with diesel engines. Experience working in a dealership or similar environment is preferred. Ability to transmit technical information clearly to team members and customers. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to dig into complex problems. Capability for heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with Caterpillar engines is a plus.
