⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Diesel Mechanic (Clearwater) Thomas Sign & Awning 4590 118th Ave N near 47th St N compensation: Depends on Experience employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Diesel Mechanic Thomas Sign & Awning, an award-winning sign company in Clearwater, Florida, is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose and repair our fleet. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. The Diesel Mechanic performs scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshoots malfunctions and diagnoses necessary repairs to our fleet of trucks (light and heavy), vans, forklifts and cranes. Replacing parts, working with various systems, such as electrical, hydraulic and fuel systems. This person works with a high degree of independence. Position also requires a number of physical movements including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating and handling objects.

Job Requirements:

Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance. Perform vehicle and related equipment inspections. Use diagnostic tools to identify problems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in diesel powered vehicles. Maintain vehicle records, including maintenance and repairs performed. Ability to maintain drive shaft components. Brake replacements. Oil change and grease fitting maintenance, Troubleshoot for major repairs that may need outsourcing. Communicate effectively with drivers, management and other mechanics.

Other:

Regular, reliable, predictable attendance is a must. You must have your own basic tools to perform the job. Military experience is a plus. Occasional overtime or weekend emergency calls may be necessary, such as a minor roadside repair. Adhere to DOT Regulations.
