Diesel & Hydraulics Heavy equipment Mechanic for trucks and concrete pumping equipment About Us At Structis we specialize in poured gypsum underlayment, sound-mats, insulation, fireproofing, floor solutions. We are committed to building strong relationships with the clients we serve. Primary Objective We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with additional experience in hydraulic systems. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment to keep them running smoothly and safely. We utilize specialty pumping equipment to pump our cement onto the floor Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components for our concrete and Gyp-Crete pumpsDiagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on diesel engines, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex engines and hydraulic issues.
Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently, following company standards and safety protocols.
Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding the status of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Assist with other duties as needed, including occasional driving of company vehicles to make repairs on equipment at job sites.
Key RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program preferred.
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and hydraulic systems or working on heavy equipment or concrete pumpsHydraulic experience is a plus.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify engine and hydraulic issues.
Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
