Opportunity:
We are currently hiring Certified Diesel Generator Technicians for contract-based field work. This is a 1099 independent contractor role for experienced technicians who can work independently, complete assigned service calls, and submit reports promptly. Work includes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for diesel generators at residential, commercial, and industrial locations.
Scope of Work Includes:
Routine maintenance and inspections (monthly, quarterly, annual) Load bank testing and performance verification Emergency service response and diagnostic troubleshooting Minor to moderate mechanical and electrical repairs Documentation of service reports and customer interaction
Requirements:
Must be certified to service diesel generators (proof required) Minimum 2 years of field experience Own reliable work truck, tools, diagnostic equipment, and PPE Must be comfortable working independently and in various weather conditions Must carry general liability insurance (or be willing to obtain) Excellent communication and time management skills Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
