Monday-Friday | 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hrs/week)

Tool Allowance:

$200/month Job Summary We’re hiring a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Shreveport, LA. In this role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems, handle parts replacement, and perform minor engine repairs on our fleet of garbage trucks. This is a full-time, physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. What You’ll Do Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, inspections, and fluid checks Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Assist with engine troubleshooting and minor repairs Maintain clean and organized work areas Keep accurate maintenance records and service logs Support other mechanics as needed What You Bring 3+ years of experience in diesel or heavy truck maintenance Technical school certification and/or ASE certification a plus Must have own tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer $25/hour pay $200/month tool allowance Full benefits including medical, dental, and vision 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% Paid vacation and holidays Stable, year-round employment For a glimpse into the day-to-day responsibilities of a Waste Connections Mechanic, check out this video: A Day in the Life of a Waste Connections Mechanic Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
