DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented In-shop Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Kenner, Louisiana.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS
Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and /or engine components.
Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines.
Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans engines in the workshop.
Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
IN
ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS:
Engine technician training (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCE
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
ABOUT THE ROLE
Work on: On highway heavy duty trucks, transit, RV, fire trucks. Also on some industrial equipment like air compressors and generators and front-end loaders.
Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday.
A 5000$ sign on bonus for this position

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
