Diesel Machanic Job Description:

We are in need of a good

DIESEL MECHANIC

to conduct regular scheduled PM’s, diagnose and repair major/minor truck components for newer model Peterbilt’s & KWs; Dump Trucks & Tractor-trailer equipment.

Expectations:

Possess the ability to diagnose and repair the following with little to no supervision:

• Engine
• Clutches
• PTO Systems
• Electric Systems
• Hydraulic/ Air Brake systems
• Heating/ Air Conditioning Systems
• Trap System
• Instruments and Gauges
• Preventive Maintenance Service Qualifications for this positions:
• Minimum of 5 years experience with tractor/trailer maintenance
• Vocational/Technical or certification required
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools & diagnostic software required
• Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
• Weekday, & weekend work

• On call
• Weekdays / Afternoons
• Weekend availability
• Ability to commute/relocate: Chalmette, LA 70043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate

Experience:

Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required) Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

CDL

• preferred, but not required
