Road Diesel Technician Lorusso Heavy Equipment Walpole, MA 02081 About the Job Lorusso Heavy Equipment (LHE) is looking for qualified off road equipment Technicians. We are a growing construction equipment company looking for a highly qualified candidate for an in house/road service position with the following qualifications and qualities: Must have own tools A High School Diploma or GED At least 2 years’ experience working on off-road heavy equipment. Hydraulics License CDL is a plus but not required Dealer certifications such as Cummins, Yanmar, Perkins or CAT certifications are preferred. Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment, analyze equipment malfunctions and administer the proper corrective action. Understanding of diesel engines and how they work, Specifically Deutz engines. Ability to read electric and hydraulic schematics and understand how the systems work Ability to operate a Laptop and software for diagnostics trouble shooting on the machines Have a basic understanding of truck maintenance. Ability to weld and fabricate A positive attitude and a team mentality. Strong communication skills are required.

Essential Duties:

Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts. Identify problems and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps. Orders replacement parts ensuring that parts ordered are correct and complete at time of order. Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components. Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components. Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems. Prepares accurate and complete service reports timely. Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times adhering to company policy. Flexible to work after hours when needed to meet customer needs.
