Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Primary purpose involves not only routine maintenance and repairs but also basic diagnostics, implementing preventive measures and providing guidance and support for Mechanics.
They play a key role in optimizing the overall performance and longevity of the fleet of heavy equipment and trucks.
We’re looking for experienced diesel mechanics who not only have a solid background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems, but who also thrive in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in doing high-quality work. Because this role is part of a larger fleet maintenance operation, strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential—they’ll be working closely with other mechanics, supervisors, and drivers to keep our equipment in top shape and ensure minimal downtime.
We value individuals who bring both technical skill and a positive attitude to the shop every day. Major Duties & Responsibilities
Performs basic and intermediate inspections and preventative maintenance. Moves equipment as needed.
Performs basic diagnostics, intermediate repairs and advanced maintenance under supervision.
Provides guidance and assistance to Sr Fleet Mechanics.
Shop clean-up and organization.
Utilizes Fleet Maintenance, Telematics and/or diagnostic software system program(s).
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

- 5 years’ relevant work experience.
Brake certification and Refrigerant Recovery certification.
Must possess a valid Driver’s license
