    Role:

    We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Foreman with a strong background in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with Diesel engines and vacuum trucks. In this leadership role, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our maintenance team, ensuring that all vehicles are running at peak performance. Diagnostic experience is required to lead troubleshooting efforts, and prior experience with vac trucks is highly valued.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead a
    Team:

    Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks, including vac trucks.

      Conduct Regular Maintenance:

      Oversee the preventive maintenance and repair operations, ensuring all vehicles and equipment remain operational.

        Ensure Quality Control:

        Monitor repair work and ensure all jobs are completed to company standards for safety and efficiency.

          Order Parts:

          Manage inventory, order necessary parts, and ensure that the shop is fully stocked for ongoing repairs and maintenance.

            Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:

            Lead diagnostic efforts to quickly identify mechanical issues and provide guidance on complex repairs, particularly for vacuum trucks.

              Track Equipment:

              Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, repairs, and maintenance schedules.

              • Collaborate with
              Management:

              Work closely with upper management to prioritize repairs, track project timelines, and ensure vehicle uptime.

              • Work under
              Pressure:

              Lead the team in handling repair tasks efficiently, even in challenging conditions and weather.

              Qualifications:
                Diesel Engine Knowledge:

                Must have experience with Diesel engines and strong diagnostic experience.

                  Vacuum Truck Experience:

                  Experience with vac trucks is highly preferred.

                    Leadership Skills:

                    Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role, with the ability to effectively manage a team of mechanics.

                      Driver’s License:

                      A valid Driver’s License is required. CDL is a plus but not mandatory. Clean driving record (MVR) is essential.

                        Experience:

                        Previous experience in the waste industry, vacuum truck repair, or heavy vehicle maintenance is a plus.

                          Bilingual:

                          Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

                            Skills:

                            Ability to work under pressure and perform well in various weather conditions.

                              Team Player:

                              Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and supportive approach to managing the team.
