Diesel Technician Stallings Farms Agribusiness Hertford, NC 27944 Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, demonstrating expertise in automotive diagnostics and the ability to work with various types of machinery. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all repairs meet industry standards. Duties Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on shocks, struts, and other suspension components. Fabricate parts as needed to ensure proper function and performance. Operate forklifts and cranes safely while moving equipment and materials. Work on farm machinery, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally. Align vehicles to manufacturer specifications for safety and performance. Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs when necessary. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role in a dealership or repair facility. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment handling. Familiarity with fabrication processes for custom parts is a plus. Experience working with farm machinery is advantageous. Valid certification or training in diesel technology is preferred but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
