Our Diesel Mechanics start at $33.00
- $45.
00/hour depending onexperience! 401K with 2% automatic company contribution plus company matchup to an additional 6%. Medical Benefits Start Day One! - Thursday Nights4:00 PM
- 12:30AMTroubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete allrequired repairs on diesel equipment (i.
e., tractors, trailers,bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.). Perform preventative maintenance within company standards. Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and partsaccountability. Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transportequipment as needed. Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of theShop Fax system. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance withworkplace safety rules and regulations and governmentguidelines. Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping. Backup to other maintenance shop personnel. Willingness and capacity to assume increased
- responsibilityand Certifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining tothe shop and fleet. Reefer experience. Must be able to read and communicate in the English languagesuch as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety andjob-related coaching, read and understand technical and servicemanuals. Able to communicate with co-workers and drivers withdemonstrated teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in afast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operationalneeds. Computer and software experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights andweekends. Must be able to work overtime when needed.
