Essential Job Summary:
: Our DieselMechanics perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance,and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and airsystems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucksand engines. Utilizing diagnostic software, the Mechanic isresponsible for interpreting failure modes and initiate or assignnecessary repairs. At times, the Mechanic may be on call, andrequired to assist with emergency breakdowns.
Essential JobFunctions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must beable to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minorduties may be assigned.: Applicants must be at least 18 years ofage and legally eligible to work in the United States. A validdriver’s license is required. CDL preferred. Experience working onheavy duty diesel equipment OR training from a recognized tradeschool is required. Must be able to speak and read English wellenough to converse with colleagues, drivers and dispatch, and beable to make legible entries on reports and records. Must be ableto meet the physical and safety requirements of the position. Mustbe able to provide own tools
Requirements and Qualifications:

Entry-level candidates will be considered for this position andon-the-job training provided. Candidates with the followingexperience may be considered for a Mechanic B or A level positionwhich has a higher level of responsibility as well a compensation:2 years experience working as a heavy duty Diesel MechanicExperience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems diagnosticsoftware such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission,Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, and Paccar. Working knowledge ofapplicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations. Other duties asassigned.
