ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have a minimum of 2 years ofexperience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy dutyand medium duty equipment Knowledge of and the ability to applyknowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc. Thisposition requires for you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order tobecome a Ryder employee you must: Must be able to obtain CDL within6 months after hire Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a DOT physical Passa Ryder road test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle checkincluding Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers forthe last 3 years

Additional requirements may berequired in different locations and/or accounts. ResponsibilitiesPerforms vehicle maintenance and repair duties including: Performsstandard vehicle maintenance Performs preventive maintenanceDiagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizingdiagnostic computer when applicable Completes complex and detailedmechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision Replacesdefective components as instructed Works unsupervised on most tasksPerforms facility maintenance duties Interacts withcustomers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint onceassigned a task. Utilizes key functions of Shop Management Systemand electronic documentation available. Works in accordance withall federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e.,safety, DOT, MOT). Acts as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and externalmaintenance documents. Other support duties as required to supportoperations. These could include but are not limited to ServiceIsland support SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220) Complete 2of the OEM On-Line diagnostic scan tool software courses asrequired by location fleet mi.
