Requirements 3 years’ experience workingas a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic Hydraulics experience is highlypreferred Engine and transmission maintenance and repairsExperience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool(Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar.

Chassis component repairs and maintenance including air brakessystem, suspension, drivetrain and steering components. Maintainand repair exhaust systems equipped with DPF systems. Maintain aclean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHAStandards. Must be able to provide own tools. A valid driver’slicense is required.

Interstate Waste Services – IWS – is hiring a Diesel Mechanic forour Goshen Transfer Station location. This is an opportunity towork hard, make good money, and grow a successful career as aDiesel Mechanic. Our Diesel Mechanics perform inspection,diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical,hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles andequipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines. This specificrole with deal primarily with our tractor trailer division .Utilizing diagnostic software, the Mechanic is responsible forinterpreting failure modes and initiate or assign necessaryrepairs. At times, the Mechanic may be on call, and required toassist with emergency breakdowns. Requirements and Qualifications:

: RequirementsApplicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible towork in the United States. A valid driver’s license is required.

CDL preferred. Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment ORtraining from a recognized trade school is required. Must be ableto speak and read English well enough to converse with colleagues,drivers and dispatch, and be able to make legible entries onreports and records. The Diesel Mechanic position may be requiredto lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent squatting and standing isrequired. Candidates must be able to meet the physical and safetyrequirements of the position. Must be able to provide own toolsother duties as assigned Entry-level candidates will be consideredfor this position and on-the-job training provided. Candidates withthe following experience may be considered for a Mechanic B or Alevel position which has a higher level of responsibility as well acompensation: 2 years experience working as a heavy duty DieselMechanic Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systemsdiagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allisontransmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, and Paccar. Yellow Ironexperience and/or experience as a Mechanic or Technician for arefuge company is a plus. Working knowledge of applicable DOT andOSHA standards and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
