The Trailer Mechanic will work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
Duties:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brakes, axles, and electrical systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Utilize heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts and cranes when necessary. Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with trailers or heavy machinery. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documents. Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience using hand tools effectively in a mechanical setting. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required.
