  • The position is eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus and has astarting pay rate of $27 per hour. This is a 1st shift positionstarting at 5:30 am.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Performs all job duties in accordance with company safety policies and regulations
  • Performs maintenance tasks based on driver pre and post trip inspections in a timely manner or as directed by maintenance manager.“`{=html}<

  • Technician Apprentice:
  • Demonstrates the ability to work alongside aknowledgeable Casella Waste Diesel Technician to learn and furtherdevelop skills. The Apprentice provides maintenance, repairs vehiclesand equipment, and mainly focuses on preventative maintenance andmaintaining the safety of all vehicles and equipment.
  • Technician B:
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify operating issuesincluding examining, test driving and troubleshooting electrical andmechanical problems using standard testing procedures and computerdiagnostic equipment. Technician also demonstrates the ability tocorrect any operating issues that are found.
  • Technician A:
  • Demonstrates the ability to inspect, troubleshoot,and repair vehicle brakes, suspension, steering, tires, rims, hubs, PTO,hydraulics, engine, cooling, starting, ignition, charging, lightingsystems, fuel and air intake systems, heating, ventilation, and coolingsystems to ensure vehicles are in safe and dependable operatingcondition.
  • Master Technician:
  • Demonstrates the ability to inspect,troubleshoot, and repair all vehicle and equipment systems. Can rebuildand replace engines, engine components, transmissions, drive line andrear-ends, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydrauliccomponents.
  • Education, Experience & Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, must beat least 18 years of age, hold a valid Class A, B, or C rivers licenseand must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

The candidatemust have a minimum of 1-year experience inspecting, troubleshooting,and repairing trucks and stationary equipment. Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills, effective listening and problem-solvingskills, and dedication to providing excellent customer service isdesired. It is also important that the candidate has demonstrated theability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

  • This position requires successful completion of pre-employmenttesting, including a drug screen.
