EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Responsible for the transport of assigned crew to/from assigned work locations.

Ensures assigned crew is productive in the collection of litter and debris from city streets, rights of way, and other City owned properties. Ensures assigned vehicle and equipment is in good working order and reports issues to department leadership in a timely manner. Ensures safe work practices including wearing appropriate PPE and vests, and placement of safety cones, signs, and flags. Performs related duties.

GuidelinesCity and department policies and procedures. These guidelines are generally clear and specific but may require some interpretation in application.

Complexity/Scope of WorkThe work consists physical activity. Inclement weather contributes to the complexity of the work.

The purpose of this position is to assist in the collection of street litter. Successful performance in this position contributes to provision of a clean, well-maintained municipality.

ContactsContacts are typically with coworkers, other city personnel, vendors, and the general public.

Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe work is performed outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and machinery with moving parts. Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc.
