We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 120+ retail store locations in thirteen states, supported by our corporate office (Mt. Airy, NC), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities. Job Summary The Mobile Technician is based within the Charlotte, NC and surrounding area, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for performing on-site installations of truck accessories for commercial customers while operating independently in a mobile service unit. This position reports directly to the Mobile Installation Lead Technician and does not have direct reports. Job Responsibilities Travels to commercial client locations to perform on-site installations of aftermarket truck accessories, including bed liners, toolboxes, ladder racks, lighting, and electronic systems. Ensures all work complies with customer specifications, safety standards, and company guidelines Conducts pre- and post-installation inspections to verify proper functioning. Operates and maintains tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working condition. Accurately documents work performed, parts used, and time spent on-site. Provides courteous and professional customer service; addresses client questions and explains installed features. Communicates job status and needs to Lead Technician and/or Scheduler. Follows all applicable DOT regulations regarding safe vehicle operation, hours of service, and inspections. Maintains compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety policies during on-site work Participates in ongoing technical training and skill development. Proficiency in using hand tools and automotive machinery. Knowledge of aftermarket truck accessories including lighting, storage, and protection equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote/mobile environment. Clean driving record; knowledge of DOT regulations preferred. Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship preferred. 2+ years of automotive or accessory installation experience. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
