Technician A York Power Authority United States, York, Marcy Jun 18, 2025 Summary Union position. Employees who demonstrate their aptitude for the work and establish a satisfactory record during one year of employment in this position will be promoted to the Technician B. Responsibilities Under direct supervision, tests, installs, repairs, calibrates and maintains electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment such as meters, recorders, relays, telemeter systems, supervisory or automatic control systems, radio, public address and load and frequency control systems that have previously deenergized, deactivated and removed from service. Works with and assits technicians of higher grade. Continues to maintain active interest in this type of work and through reading and study should keep abreast of progress in electrical technology related to the work. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education, Experience and Certifications Two years’ electrical technical education at college level or equivalent.

TECHAA Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by the York Power Authority and IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is $36.82 per hour.
