Low Voltage Technician NextGen | GTA Telecom Pittsburgh, PA Job Details Contract $35 – $38 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications CPR Certification Mid-level OSHA 30 First Aid Certification Cabling Full Job Description Install and commission DC power plants, batteries (VRLA/Li-ion), BDFBs, and rectifiers Perform site surveys, load studies, and battery testing Complete grounding and bonding per spec (e.g., from AGB to racks) Terminate lugs, install fuses/breakers, and perform live work as needed Closeout documentation, labeling, photos, and reporting in customer systems Coordinate with project managers and customer reps onsite Ensure compliance with safety protocols and QA standards Top responsibilities: Safe and accurate installation of DC power systems in telecom environments Completion of site-specific documentation, including redlines and test reports Leading small teams and mentoring junior techs during installs Nice to have: Advanced knowledge of -48V DC power systems, rectifiers, batteries, and grounding Ability to read and mark up telecom drawings/schematics (one-lines, rack elevations) Strong troubleshooting skills for live plant environments Certs required: OSHA 30 CPR/First Aid DC Power OEM Certs preferred (e.g., Vertiv, Alpha, Eltek, GE/Lineage) RF Awareness (if near cell sites) — nice to have
