Field Service Tech – Digital Print (Northern OH and MI) Position Available In Mobile, Alabama

Job Description Job Description Millcraft is looking for ateam-oriented Field Service Technician to maintain the Wide Format,Direct to Garment (DTG) and Direct to Film (DTF), and Digital(Inkjet and Toner) printing equipment and make sure basicmechanical needs are being met. The ideal candidate will primarilysupport our markets in the areas of Indiana and Ohio. You areresponsible for performing highly diversified duties includinginstalling equipment, investigating, and resolving technicalproblems with equipment, and eliminating future operational orservice difficulties to support the achievement of the Millcraft’sgoals and objectives. Essential duties and responsibilities includethe following. Other duties may be assigned.

• The Field ServiceTechnician is responsible to plan and coordinate activitiesconcerned with installing equipment, investigating, and resolvingcustomer reports of technical problems with equipment, andeliminating future operational or service difficulties byperforming the following duties
• Other duties may be assigned
• Installs new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to ensurefull functionality according to specifications
• Reviewsperformance reports and documentation from customers and fieldrepresentatives and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product todetermine nature and scope of problem
• Analyzes review andinspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommendsrepair, replacement, or other corrective action
• Coordinatesproblem resolution with engineering, customer service, and otherpersonnel to expedite repairs
• Provides on-site technicalassistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Maintainsrecords of performance reports
• Analyzes reports of technicalproblems to determine trends affecting future design, production,service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications toeliminate future problems
• Develops service handbooks andbulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, andoverall knowledge of product
• Provides a communication linkbetween the customer and the company to help ensure that effectiveservice is provided to the customer
• Develops and conductstraining on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstratesskills to trainees, including both team members and customersQualifications
• High School Diploma or Associate degree (A. A.)and/or 2 to 5 years relative work experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience in wide formatprinters
• Experience performing troubleshooting and repairs ofinkjet heads
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficient in Adobe Suites and Corel Draw
• Must have validdriver’s license and comfortable driving own car
• Up to 95% travelrequired, including after hours and weekends
• Excellent analyticalskills, accuracy, troubleshooting, and attention to detail
• Strongorganizational, written, and verbal communication skills Salesexperience selling or servicing wide-format inkjet printers(Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland, etc.) and plotters, DTG, DTF
• Strongexpertise in developing, implementing, and communicating channelprograms

Travel:

Frequent travel is required.

PhysicalRequirements:

• Ability to lift items that weigh a minimum of 50lbsregularly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
