The technician’s goal is to provide the maximum amount of service to clients in order to exceed customer expectations. To be a successful service tech, you should be dependable, organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Culligan offers competitive wages plus a commission plan and a generous benefits package. Mechanical service experience is helpful, but we will train the right person.
Specific Job Function:
Perform all diagnostics and analysis to trouble-shoot and repair equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Install, upgrade, remove, and maintain equipment. Complete scheduled service orders daily. Complete paperwork related to tasks, including collecting payment, in an accurate and timely manner. Assist other employees with delivery and installation of products/equipment. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Communicate in a positive manner with customers and maintain positive public relations for the company. Safe operation of a Company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal DOT laws. Identify additional services that may be required and present all options to the consumer. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves for water treatment equipment using hand or power tools. Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to safety and Culligan policies. Complete general warehouse/facility duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum two years of related technical experience. TCEQ certification, or plumbing experience a plus. Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of a residential product, for example, cable/internet, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, windows/doors Must wear safety equipment as required, most tasks require some physical exertion. Ability to lift/move equipment from 50-80 lbs. Kneel/bend for extended periods of time. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance. Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods (2-3 hours). Navigate throughout local area. Ability to perform basic shop repairs (installation, start-up, troubleshooting) and water testing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
