Role:
As a Field Service Technician with Burwell, you’ll be on the road each day, clocking in from your company-provided service vehicle and heading to customer sites across Mobile, Alabama and surrounding territories. You’ll service and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, and other equipment from top brands that keep warehouses running. You’ll work independently with a strong team behind you, receive ongoing training, and grow your career with a company that’s growing too. What You’ll Do:
Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint and fix problems Perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly Service multiple brands including Hyundai, Bobcat, Clark, Genie, JLG, and Skyjack Participate in manufacturer-certified training to stay up to date on equipment and repair techniques Promote service offerings like maintenance programs, inspections, and parts Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety and readiness Support and mentor junior techs when needed
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:
Prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Willingness to travel within the assigned service territory
