Field Service Technician – Windows 11

Migration Location:

Onsite in Farmington, CT with weekly travel to

NYC Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to assist with its Windows 11 migration, providing onsite support at its Farmington, CT location. This role requires a highly skilled technician with at least 3 years of experience in desktop support and deployment, specifically with Windows 11 and Microsoft Autopilot. The technician will provide in-person support for employees at the Farmington office, as well as weekly onsite service in New York City.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Windows 11 deployments and user setups onsite. Provide hands-on hardware and software support for employees at the Farmington location. Troubleshoot technical issues in person, over the phone, and via email for users across the organization. Manage workspace moves, including hardware and printer installation. Support executive leadership in Connecticut with specialized IT services. Utilize VMware to connect to virtual desktops. Configure and support Citrix Receiver for virtual desktops and apps. Provide weekly onsite support in New York City for additional troubleshooting needs.

Lenovo desktops, Cisco phone systems, mobile devices (iPhone & Android)

Software:

Office 365, Chrome, proprietary applications

Remote Access:
Bomgar VPN Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in desktop support and deployment. Strong expertise in Windows 11 migration and Microsoft Autopilot. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices, and enterprise applications. Familiarity with virtual desktop environments like VMware and Citrix. Ability to provide high-quality executive support when needed.

Preferred Skills:

Mac Support Experience (occasional Mac troubleshooting required). Strong customer service skills across multiple platforms (in-person, phone, email). Self-motivated, proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution. Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic IT environment.
