Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling and the workflow among the service technicians. In addition, this person may also act in the capacity of the service technician job description based on the needs of the business. Key Responsibilities:
Must be able to prioritize new unscheduled service calls for the branch’s service technicians to best meet the customer needs Must be able to provide direct supervision of all branch service technicians Set up daily and on call schedules for all service technicians at the branch location Respond directly to customers regarding all service-related issues Provide technical assistance to all service technicians, branch personnel, and customers as needed Conduct and oversee weekly or as needed service technician meetings as required Good interpersonal and communication skills for verbal communications with customers and service technicians Must be able to be set up on call rotations at the branch level and provide technical support as required Must have the ability to understand and prioritize service calls and assign technicians accordingly Must be well organized and able to make executive decisions to promote customer and employee satisfaction Must have the ability to supervise and direct the work of others Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously including multiple incoming phone calls throughout the period of the day
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field is preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician within the industry
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as
EPA 608, CFESA
(Commercial Food Equipment Service Association) certification, or equivalent are a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues efficiently.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
Time Management:
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
Customer Focus:
Dedicated to providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction
Driving License:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as outlined with our company policy
Background Screening:
Must be able to pass a satisfactory background screening
Physical Requirements:
