Job Description
Field Service Technician 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Tampa, FL 33603 Volt is immediately hiring for Field Service Technicians. You will have a chance to work with a growing manufacturer of state-of-the-art packaging and filling machinery!
LOCATION
Any candidate with automated beverage or liquid food filling industrial line experience will be considered (your location should be within 1 hour of any major airport for quick traveling)
TRAVEL:
This is a traveling position (85-90% travel) – You will be away from home 2 weeks at a time. You will travel by plane to any customer site in the US. Field Travel Perks Company provides uniforms, tools, cell phone, laptop, credit card (no out of pocket expenses) and per diem every day. OT pay every Saturday, DT pay every Sunday. As a Field Service Technician you will: Complete service at customer’s plants including installation, repair or troubleshooting to packaging equipment. Instructing maintenance and operating personnel in the proper operating and maintenance procedures, as well as safety and clean-up procedures for packaging equipment. Be able to work independently on installations, upgrades, and overhauls for packaging equipment. 85-90% travel This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.
Qualifications for this role:
2+ years’ experience in machine maintenance, preferably in the packaging industry (liquid food or beverage industry is highly preferred) Solid mechanical/pneumatic knowledge. In-depth knowledge of packaging equipment, maintenance and general industrial maintenance techniques. Packaging line mechanical knowledge of general functions of automated machinery. Must be able to read blueprints and be familiar with the metric system. Must be able to perform work assignments that are of a technical, involved nature, requiring the use of judgement and independent thinking.
PLC:
Siemens and Rockwell programing experience preferred Able to travel to customer locations for equipment installations: 85-90% travel – You will be away from home 2 weeks at a time.
Pay:
$28.00-34.00/hour. OT pay for every Saturday, DT pay for every Sunday. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
