HVAC Systems Location:
Fort Myers, FL (Remote with field requirements) Position Overview The Field Service Technician will provide advanced assistance to customers in the field, diagnosing and solving both documented and undocumented service and installation issues. Service Technicians also support customers via phone and other electronic communication methods. This position requires driving company vehicles to and from customer locations. This remote position requires residence at or near Fort Myers, FL, with availability for in-person training and meetings. Note that this role requires being in the field the majority of the time. Key Responsibilities Provide verbal and written technical assistance to customers on product service, installation, repair, and general product questions for complex multi-family and/or large-scale commercial projects Troubleshoot errors, diagnose problems, and initiate repairs on heat pumps and gas equipment Explain and interpret warranty information to customers Arrange for return of malfunctioning or defective items for repair or replacement Use computerized systems for tracking requests, troubleshooting problems, assessing parts inventory, documenting resolutions, and determining warranty eligibility Follow up on service calls to ensure resolution and maintain accurate service records Test and repair products by traveling to customer locations Connect products to power sources and test meters Perform equipment installation and troubleshooting Ensure repaired equipment is in proper working condition Use various tools and maintain parts inventory Required Qualifications Associate’s degree, Business School Certificate/Diploma, or other post-high school training EPA Certification (license to handle refrigerant) 2-4 years of customer service experience in the insurance/manufacturing industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Proficiency with MS Office Suite and relevant software Demonstrated ability to work well in a matrix team environment Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals Problem-solving skills for situations with limited standardization Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications Field service experience with HVAC equipment and heat pumps Technical comprehension of written instructions, correspondence, and diagrams Excellent technical problem-solving skills Ability to support multiple products and prioritize projects Availability to work weekends, staggered shifts, and holidays Bilingual in Spanish
