Full Job Description Position Summary :

This is a field-based, hands-on role supporting equipment used in municipal wastewater treatment— not an IT or helpdesk position . You will travel to job sites to support installation, perform start-ups and commissioning, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide routine service and training. Supported systems include mechanical screens, grit removal units, compactors, and related system components. You’ll serve as the technical face of Hydro-Dyne, ensuring smooth project execution and long-term customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Serve as the onsite technical advisor during equipment installation Perform start-ups, commissioning, and functional testing Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems (motors, drives/VFDs, sensors, controls) Conduct field repairs and routine service visits Train contractors and operators on proper use and maintenance Submit accurate service reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Collaborate with Engineering and Service teams to resolve complex issues Travel up to 80% (typically Monday-Friday) Qualifications 3+ years in field service, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation Experience with: 3-phase electrical systems, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls Mechanical systems such as gearboxes, chains, actuators, and structural components Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics Basic understanding of PLCs (no programming required) Strong communication and customer service skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to lift 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders U.S. passport or ability to obtain one
