You will be the go-to expert for commissioning, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining control systems, instrumentation, and electrical components. This position is based at our Lakeland, FL location and includes regular travel to customer sites.
The job:
Your daily responsibilities include testing and calibrating field instrumentation, performing I/O checkout and functional testing, installing and inspecting control panels, and supporting plant systems with technical expertise. You will work with a variety of voltage levels and safely navigate complex electrical environments. You will interpret P&ID drawings, troubleshoot PLC logic, program and commission variable frequency drives (VFDs), and provide after-startup support and preventative maintenance. Installation tasks will include control panels, conduit, wiring, and instrumentation infrastructure.
The skills you need:
To thrive in this role, you must have: 3-5 years of field service experience Associate degree in Applied Science or Electronics Engineering Technology (preferred) Strong understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and control systems Ability to read P&ID and control panel drawings Experience with calibration and specialized testing tools OSHA safety training and basic math/computer skills Valid driver’s license and ability to travel Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Questions you may have: When you are considering a new job, it’s normal to have a ton of questions. Pipkin Road, Lakeland, FL 33811and frequent travel to customer sites is required and may include long-distance driving and overnight stays.
