Pope Associates, Inc. was founded in 1950 and is headquartered in Smyrna, GA. The company is comprised of three independent business units that distribute industrial products. The Motive Power Division sales and provides service for industrial batteries and chargers. The field service technician will be responsible for the following: Driving a company van throughout Savannah and surrounding area. Managing inventory and properly accounting for parts used during service. Repairing and providing maintenance services for industrial batteries and chargers. Providing great customer service and detailed description of work completed. Troubleshooting batteries and chargers. Applicants for this position must have the following: GED or High School Diploma Driver’s License Good driving record Mechanical experience and/or educational training. Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude Technically knowledgeable and skilled in the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems Safely use hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices Able to accurately complete service-related documents and paperwork Basic understanding and knowledge of how to use a personal computer Good verbal communication skills Customer-centric attitude and approach Basic inventory management skills Good estimating skills Good organization skills This position would carry full-time status and require a minimum work week of 40 hours with the potential for overtime.
