Job Description:
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Cooperate with all teams and share information across the organization. Troubleshoot and perform repairs and modifications on the mechanical, electrical, or software aspects of equipment at customer sites. Assist in the start-up, checkout, installation, and testing of new equipment. Create reports of the customers and machines serviced that day. Follow all the company’s procedures. Instruct personnel at customer sites on the safety, proper operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment to improve efficiency of customer productivity. Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Mechanical or Trade School or 4+ years of in-field experience in service and repair of applicable products may be substituted. 1-2 years field service experience requiring mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting. Knowledge and the ability to read and understand equipment manuals. Ability to use a variety of mechanical, electrical, and testing tools successfully and effectively. Experience with machine tool repairs (or similar) Ability to lift 75 pounds. Good written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of computer applications including word processing, Excel spreadsheets and CAD software.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Knowledge of 3-D CAD software. AUTOCAD Sheet metal and / or fabrication experience. Experience in training / instruction. Fluency in
