POSITION PURPOSE
Under general supervision fromthe Metering Supervisor or other assigned supervisor, the MeteringTechnician will perform a variety of tasks including, but notlimited to, repairs, tests and programs electronic and mechanicalmeters for uses.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
: Respond toservice orders concerning customers, including equipmentchange-outs, device commissioning, and system troubleshooting. Usespecific software to commission/program electronic/thermal/watermeters, and remote data collection hardware, and complete allrelevant paperwork associated with the assignment. Coordinateelectrician presence onsite and execute project micro-managementupon completion-follow up on any new opportunities. Communicatewith customers, contractors, and co-workers, and respond toinquiries in a timely fashion. Perform other duties as requiredincluding occasional drawing reviews/updates, tenant surveys, andoccasional meter reading. Partake in department workflow, stayaware of ongoing projects, and assist when necessary. Other dutiesas assigned. Qualifications Education / Experience / Background Anassociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in electronics, computertechnician, or instrumentation is strongly preferred. At least twoyears of related field work experience or any equivalentcombination of education and work experience.
Knowledge / Skills
/Abilities Demonstrates knowledge of programming, testing,troubleshooting, and calibration of electronic and mechanicalmeters. Strong PC skills as well as demonstrated skills in readingsub-meter drawings, diagrams, and wiring layouts. Provenproficiency in Visio and AutoCAD. Ability to work collaborativelywith customers and vendors, communicate effectively both verballyand in writing. Reliable team player. An organized self-starter,able to follow standard procedures, prioritize assignments, andaddress problems as they arise or seek appropriate help. Theemployee will need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. RequiredCertification / Licenses / Training Valid state-issued driver’slicense.
Additional Information Pay Range:
$60000 to $70000 PerYear.
