The Levy Group of Companies is assembling a A-Team of Field Service Technicians to work at one of our locations across the U.S. (SC, MI, OH, AR, WV, WA, KY, OH, IN, MS, TX, TN). The Field Service Technician travels to Levy sites for the purpose of assessing and repairing heavy-duty, off-road construction equipment.

Travels to Levy locations via field service truck or airPerforms inspections of mobile equipmentOperates and inspects equipment to assess equipment malfunctionsUses computerized diagnostic system to assist with the identification of malfunctions (CAT ET, Cummings)Makes recommendations for process to repair equipment and parts to be orderedParticipates in the training and development of less skilled mechanicsOperates and maintains field service truckDismantles and reassembles heavy equipment to gain access to areas of concernExamines part for excessive wear and determines reusabilityRepairs, replaces, cleans and lubricates parts and components as necessaryDiagnoses and repairs hydraulic systems, electrical systems and mechanical systemsWelds, cuts and fabricates equipment and componentsCompletes maintenance check list and tests repaired equipment to ensure accurate completion of repairMakes recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources when necessaryMaintains records and reportingMeets customer service requirementsComplies with all safety regulations and policiesPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisorSkillsThe ideal candidate will have:
