Role:
As a Crew Member in the Water Resources Operations Division , you’ll be part of a vital team that installs, maintains, and troubleshoots Greensboro’s Distribution and Collection system . Your work helps keep clean water flowing and wastewater safely managed for thousands of residents.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform hands-on work in installation, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer lines. Use and maintain tools and construction equipment specific to water infrastructure. Rotate between various assignments based on operational needs —you won’t be locked into one task or section. Follow all City safety and OSHA guidelines , including work zone safety procedures. Respond to emergency situations as part of an on-call rotation and be available for overtime and after-hours work when needed. Communicate effectively and follow both written and verbal instructions . Maintain a reliable means of contact (home or cell phone) for scheduling and emergencies. The job is

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED “OR” an equivalent combination of 3 years of education plus 3 years of directly related experience in a construction environment Valid Class B Driver’s License (“OR” the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date to maintain position) 1-year experience with heavy lifting in an outdoor construction and maintenance environment
