Restoration Technician First Restoration Services of Asheville Fletcher, NC 28732 First Restoration Services is seeking a Restoration Technician to join our Asheville, NC team. The restoration technician is responsible for assisting the Emergency Services and Cleaning Department with completion of cleaning, contents, mold remediation and water-related projects. Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold or wet and sometimes unsanitary. This work can be very challenging, fun and rewarding. Duties:

In plant processing: Take care to protect and not damage customer’s contents Remove all residue and odor from contents Follow warehouse procedures for cleaning, handling and storing contents Repack contents after they have been cleaned Clean your workstations before leaving the shop Keep warehouse clean and organized On location cleaning: Take care to protect and not damage customer’s contents Do a thorough and complete job cleaning the smoke residue, pay attention to details. Post construction cleaning to prepare a house for occupancy. Pay attention to details. Follow procedures for cleaning structure and contents, and handling customer’s possessions. Maintain accurate contents inventory forms. Keep the job site clean and professional and maintain the appearance of job site. Leave the job site clean at the end of the day. Organize and remove all cleaning tools and supplies from the property. Water damage services Water extraction and removal of water damaged materials Take a lot of pictures and download them to office computer within 12 hours. Take general room pictures and detailed pictures of any damage, readings, etc. Follow written procedures for emergency services. Pay attention to details. Move affected contents Set up and monitor drying equipment Application of antimicrobial products Keep the job sites clean and professional. Pay attention to details. Take PPE and tools to every job even if they are not needed for that specific job. Communicate with Emergency Services Field Supervisor. Help to facilitate an appointment for the Project Manager of Construction to write an estimate for repairs. Mold remediation Proper use of PPE-wear at all times. Set up and maintain containment Proper set up of negative air equipment Follow protocol for remediation Final clean documentation prior to clearance sampling Biohazard Proper use of PPE Follow procedures for biohazard cleaning of structure and contents, and handling customer’s possessions. Do a thorough and complete job with cleaning Keep the job site clean and professional. Leave the job site clean at the end of the day. Organize and remove all cleaning tools and supplies from the property. General Duties Being available for routine on call emergency services and after-hours work. Responsible for the finished product. Quality and efficiency. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe job site. Updating production management on any changes in details of project. Customer Service duties, including but not limited to: Customer cheerleader development. Following written production procedures. Daily completion of tracking paperwork, timecards, checkout forms and other necessary paperwork. Report customer feedback, concerns, and job status to the project manager. Maintenance and cleaning of equipment Vehicle maintenance and cleaning Facility janitorial work as requested. Responsible for providing feedback as to how the company can: Provide better service Improve efficiency Improve the quality of the finished product. Responsible for reporting inventory needs and damaged equipment. Assistance with Packout and cleaning service Carpet cleaning duties Other duties as assigned. Physical requirements Must lift heavy items up to 50lbs on a routine basis Employees will be working with cleaning, deodorization and antimicrobial products on a daily basis. Gloves, respirators and splash goggles are available for use. Employees may be required routinely climb ladders and work in high places. Employees may be required to maneuver in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces and attics. The workspace may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions. Protective gear is available for use and is required on some heavily contaminated work sites. Position requirements Content cleaning production – on average each person is expected to process two to three boxes per hour. The contents of each box should be clean and free from odor to be considered complete. Individual items should be cleaned and processed in a timely and professional manner. The time requirements are based on the details of the individual items. Must always wear clean proper uniform. Answer and return all calls to the assigned cell phone within 5 minutes during business and after hours. Compensation $22.00 -$24.00 plus overtime and on-call bonus
