- Hybrid work Job Summary The Field Service Technician will coordinate on-site startup activities and provide customer support for JMS-provided equipment.
The Technician will work to deliver exemplary customer satisfaction by building positive relationships and providing the highest level of customer service. The ability to successfully interface with customers, while having a good working relationship with all JMS HQ departments will be critical for success. The Field Service Technician must be able to speak technically about JMS products and offer sound solutions for our customers.
Responsibilities include:
- 85% On-Site Customer Service/Support o Manage on-site installation inspections, repairs, maintenance, and test-related tasks o Oversee the repair of existing equipment in the field o Investigate and provide solution for Customer equipment issues
- 10% Remote Customer Support o Receive calls/emails from Customers regarding issues with JMS-provided equipment o Provide prompt follow-up when issues arise o Provide professional detailed phone/email support o Be equally proactive and reactive in communication with Customers.
- 5% Administrative/Miscellaneous o Organize travel on a monthly basis o Coordinate Service Visits and appointments with Customer stakeholders o Provide detailed follow-up to Customers and JMS HQ staff regarding work/service completed Job Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent; Technical Degree of Trade Certification a plus
- Fluency in use of tools and/or mechanical devices
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to travel long distances
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, crouch/squat for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift in excess of 75 lbs.
- Must have strong attention to detail, extremely organized, and be self-motivated
- Effective at prioritization, self-starter with the ability to work independently in a challenging fast-paced environment
- Candidate must time management skills as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

- Must possess a minimum of 2-5 years of mechanical repair and/or maintenance experience
- Understanding of the different water & wastewater industry processes
- Experience with municipal water treatment systems (flocculation, sedimentation, sludge removal) a plus
- Experience with material handling systems (conveyors and bulk storage) a plus
- Experience with headworks and dewatering systems a plus
- Strong communication skills including the ability to negotiate positive outcomes
