Job Summary:
A Junior Field Technician assists with the assembly and scenic elements of the structures department. They travel extensively to client event locations. They work closely with Senior Field Technicians to understand the needs of the project, schematics, and all structural and scenic elements in order to construct temporary event structures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently builds Structural and Scenic elements at jobsite locations. Adhere to safety standards Collaborate with on-site contacts and FW Senior Field Technicians to assess and maintain safety needs of a variety of field sites and custom project builds. Work with supervisors at our warehouse locations to assist with assembly and disassembly of structures elements at warehouses. Interact and communicate with all customer/client representatives and stakeholders on-site and provide polite, professional and quality customer service to include overall summaries and progress reports and smooth communication lines with Project Managers, Senior Field Technicians, and other Filmwerks leadership. Work with SL100’s, SL250’s, Z stage, Mod Truss, carpentry, plus general structure and staging roles. Execute the decisions and direction implemented by the Project Managers and Senior Field Technicians when onsite. Complete required paperwork and submit Timesheets, expenses, travel, etc by their required guidelines. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and/or diagrams to construct elements. Work in the warehouse in North Carolina as needed or directed. Interact cooperatively with drivers and the Purchasing and Logistics teams on all manner of purchasing, travel, accommodations and other logistics needs before, during, and after jobs. Repair any items or tools onsite that may be needed. Ensure all damaged gear is accurately marked so it can be identified by the shop on its return Responsible for inspecting and accounting for all cable, distribution gear, generators, trucks, safety equipment and trailers before and after each job. Communicate to the PM and SR FT clearly and often with the office and shop on any logistics, maintenance, damage, or repair issues with any cable, generators, trucks, trailers, etc. Serve as front line customer service while out on jobs and maintain a positive attitude; be the face of our company while on jobs.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma. Must have 2 years of related experience in construction, assembly, or similar, preferably in the broadcast industry. Must pass a criminal background and MVR check. Physical Demands /
Requirements:
Ability to lift, move and/or carry up to 100 lbs. repetitively. Ability to put in long hours (10+) on a single shift and/or multiple shifts back-to-back. Ability to use all manner of hand tools and to operate skid-steers and other mid-duty machinery. Must have full range of motion in limbs, back and neck with the ability to climb ladders and maneuver efficiently around job sites with uneven ground, multiple levels of any variety of structures and multiple potential hazards.
