SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The O&M Field Service Technician position is ideal for a hands-on individual with a background in electrical systems and solar installations. This role focuses on performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on commercial solar systems. Candidates should be comfortable working with AC/DC circuits and using diagnostic tools in the field. Prior solar experience and familiarity with service panels and monitoring systems is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
2-5 years of electrical or solar field experience preferred Basic understanding of AC/DC wiring and power systems Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics Perform hands-on maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of solar equipment, inverters, combiner boxes, and data systems Assist with interconnection work and service panel checks under supervision Document findings, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately Work with the O&M team and engineering support staff to resolve technical issues Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site personnel Maintain inventory of tools and basic electrical components on-site Ensure safety compliance during all work activities Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures and site-specific requirements Ability to travel to job sites as required by the O&M Manager Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
