You will learn a specific, highly sought after skills in construction: installation of lightning protection systems, grounding/trenching, operation of excavators. You will work at great heights – on top of sports arenas, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, skyscrapers, military facilities, universities and more Opportunity for growth This is a terrific career path for someone who enjoys the thrill of heights and who likes to work as part of a team. Travel Most projects are within NC ; however, we do sometimes travel to VA, SC, GA, and other states between Monday and Friday (no weekends). All travel costs are covered, and a field/ travel supplement (“per diem”) is provided. Experience and Qualifications Experience in construction or related industry is preferred but not required. Valid driver’s License Clean driving record is required to drive company vehicles. Pass a drug test and background screening to work on certain sites (military/prisons) You must be willing to learn and follow mandatory safety requirements for our installation processes. You must be comfortable at great heights, working outside, climbing ladders and lifts, and lifting heavy items in order to succeed in this job Experience in operating machinery (mini excavator, forklift, etc.) is preferred but not required. You must have reliable transportation to and from the office. Training We will provide on-the-job training, including paid coursework to earn safety and other specialty certifications. Eligibility for tuition reimbursement and to earn certifications, including First Aid/CPR, OSHA-10, OSHA-30, Fall Protection, and the operation of various tools/equipment (boom/lift, forklift, trenching) Benefits Company provides training, all PPE, tools, and transportation between job sites Contribution to healthcare Optional benefits include: 401K contribution, training reimbursement Compensation/work guaranteed during bad weather Strong opportunity for growth
